Amid the intensifying military confrontation between Israel and Iran, fourteen military cargo planes from the United States and Germany landed in Israel carrying military equipment and supplies to bolster Israel’s armed forces, the Israeli Ministry of Defense confirmed on Thursday, reported the Andolu Agency.
According to the ministry, these flights are part of ongoing air and sea supply bridges established since Israel launched its attack on Iran on June 13. The ministry emphasized that the new shipment is aimed at enhancing the army’s “operational readiness.” However, the specific nature of the equipment remains undisclosed.
This latest batch adds to a staggering total of over 800 military cargo flights that have landed in Israel since the beginning of its genocidal war on Gaza on October 7, 2023.
The recent escalation began when Israel initiated unilateral airstrikes targeting military and nuclear facilities across Iran, prompting Tehran to retaliate with missile attacks. Israeli authorities reported at least 25 deaths and hundreds injured in the Iranian strikes.
In contrast, Iranian media reported 639 fatalities and more than 1,300 injuries due to Israeli attacks on Iranian territory.
Meanwhile, diplomatic efforts continue as Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi is set to meet with his counterparts from France, Germany, and the United Kingdom in Geneva on Friday. The talks will focus on Iran’s nuclear program and potential steps to halt Israel’s aggression.
