Hyderabad: A Job Mela for teaching aspirants was successfully conducted at Maulana Azad National Urdu University (MANUU) on Sunday, April 20. Organized by the university’s Training and Placement Cell (TPC), the event aimed to bridge the gap between qualified educators and reputed educational institutions, reported the Siasat.
Dr. Mohd Yousuf Khan, Director of the Training and Placement Cell, shared that over 100 candidates participated in the recruitment drive. Of these, 20 candidates were issued offer letters on the spot, while 45 others were shortlisted for further evaluation.
The mela presented a diverse range of opportunities in the education sector, encompassing primary, secondary, and higher education roles. Vacancies included positions such as Assistant Professors, Lecturers, Trained Graduate Teachers (TGTs), and Primary and Secondary Teachers. In addition, roles in administration and specialized education — including Occupational Therapists, Special Educators, Speech Therapists, Arts Teachers, Academic Coordinators, and School Counselors — were also offered, highlighting a comprehensive recruitment approach.
Prominent institutions that participated in the event included the Hyderabad Institute of Excellence, Princess Durru Shehvar College of Education, Shaheen Group of Institutions, Focus High School, Meluha International School, Neo School Aizza, and Zaamin High School.
The job mela was a significant step toward empowering aspiring educators and providing them with a platform to launch or further their careers in education.
