800 Haj pilgrims to return to Vijayawada

Vijayawada, July 9: About 800 Haj pilgrims who proceeded for Haj 2024 from Vijayawada embarkation will be returning to Vijayawada from July 10 to 12.

The pilgrims are currently in Madina Munawara and they will be reaching Gannavaram Airport, Vijayawada through three flights.

Andhra Pradesh’s Minister for Law & Justice and Minorities Welfare, N. Md. Farook along with K. Harshavardhan, IAS, Secretary to Government, Minorities Welfare Department, other officials and various dignitaries shall welcome and receive the Haj pilgrims.

The pilgrims are returning safely after 42 days of pilgrimage. Minister Farook instructed the officials to make all necessary arrangements at Airport to facilitate Haj pilgrims in completing all required official formalities with ease to proceed to their respective destinations/ districts.

According to the State Haj Committee, necessary arrangements have been made at Shah Zahoor Musafir Khana, Wynchipeta, Vijayawada for the Haj pilgrims who intend to stay overnight or for a day before their onward journey. APSRTC buses will be available for necessary Transportation to Vijayawada from Gannavaram Airport.

Meanwhile, Haj Committee of India has issued a circular dated July 3 intimating that the notification for Haj–2025 (Hijri-1446) will be issued in the last week of July 2024 or first week of August 2024.

The Intending Indian Haj Pilgrims who wish to proceed for upcoming Haj-2025 through Haj Committee of India (HCoI) are advised to keep ready their machine-readable International Passport/s valid up to 15-01-2026 so that they can apply as soon as the Haj announcement is made by the Haj Committee of India.
