8th Annual Awards Distribution and Parental Guidance Workshop Conducted by the Board of Islamic Education, Mumbai

Malvani: The Board of Islamic Education, a key initiative of Jamaat-e-Islami Hind’s Malvani Unit, has been working for the past eight years to provide religious education to students in modern institutions. Since its inception in 2017, the Board has focused on guiding parents on effective child upbringing and ensuring Islamic education remains accessible.

Under its program, Islamic Studies is taught at Eliya Sarwat Urdu High School and Millat Urdu High School by Alima Sana Sahiba, with textbooks provided to students. On February 1, 2025, an examination was conducted for the Diploma and Advanced Diploma in Islamic Studies, witnessing enthusiastic participation.

The culmination of this effort was the Annual Awards Distribution Ceremony and Parental Guidance Workshop, held on February 16 at Ideal Park Hall, Malvani. The event began with a Qur’an recitation, followed by an address from Maulana Akhtar-ul-Islam Nadwi, who highlighted the Board’s objectives. Sessions on parenting were conducted by family counselor Mrs. Tanveer and motivational speaker Mr. Abdul Waheed, addressing modern challenges.

The program also featured an action song by CIO Malvani students, introductions to SIO and GIO, and a presidential address by Sheikh Humayun, City President of Jamaat-e-Islami Hind, Mumbai Metro. Meritorious students were felicitated before the event concluded with a vote of thanks by Sheikh Anwar, Ameer-e-Muqami, Jamaat-e-Islami Hind, Malvani, and a supplication (dua) led by Maulana Hasan Kamal Nadwi, a member of Safa Islami Makatib, Maharashtra. The event was skillfully hosted by Mr. Shariq Qazi, Assistant Director of the Board of Islamic Education.
