14 May 2024: In a heartening display of communal unity and fiscal prudence, the Mansoori Muslim community organized a mass wedding ceremony in Amer, Jaipur. The event, which saw the union of 17 couples, garnered participation from members not only from Rajasthan but also from neighboring states, echoing the sentiment of solidarity within the community.
The initiative, spearheaded by the Rajaawati and Agwara communities, aimed to address the issue of extravagant spending on weddings, a concern prevalent across various sections of society. With the presence of esteemed figures like Kishenpol MLA Amin Kagzi, the ceremony received a stamp of approval and encouragement from the local leadership.
At the helm of the event was Akbar Chauhan, the convener, who emphasized the importance of simplicity and social progress.
