BJP Councillor Claims Lok Sabha Elections Are a Battle Between Sanatan Dharma and Muslims

New Delhi, May 26: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Ravinder Singh Negi has come under fire for delivering inflammatory speeches against Muslims in the Vinod Nagar area of East Delhi. Caught on camera, Negi, a BJP councillor, described the ongoing Lok Sabha elections as a conflict between Sanatan Dharma and Muslims during an address on Thursday.

In the viral video shared on social media, Negi is seen urging Hindu voters to turn out in large numbers, contrasting their participation with that of the Muslim community. “This election is a fight between Sanatan Dharma and Muslims. Come out to vote in large numbers, just like the Muslim women showing up in burkhas and standing in long queues,” Negi stated.

He further fueled communal tensions by accusing opposition parties of intending to give undue advantages to Muslims, warning, “Your homes will be distributed among Muslims. To save yourself, come out and vote for Narendra Modi.”

Negi has a history of making controversial, communally charged remarks. Previously, he gained attention for ordering the closure of meat shops in Delhi during the Hindu festival of Navaratri.

The incident has sparked widespread criticism, with many condemning the divisive rhetoric. The BJP has yet to officially respond to the controversy.
