WORK Initiative Distributes Sherbet to Alleviate Heatwave Stress in Jaipur

Jaipur, May 28: Under the “Nar Seva Hi Narayan Seva” campaign, the World Organization of Religions and Knowledge (WORK) distributed cold sweet sherbet at the Rojghareshwar Mahadev Temple in Hasanpura here to help locals cope with the scorching heat. Rajasthan is currently enduring extreme temperatures, prompting the government to advise residents to stay indoors during peak sunlight hours. Several cities in the state have reported temperatures exceeding 45 degrees Celsius.

WORK spokesperson Syed Asgar Ali announced that the organization’s women’s wing is spearheading the sherbet distribution throughout Jaipur to provide relief from the severe heat. WORK believes that righteous deeds are a path to divine satisfaction.

Alia Rahman, representing the Women’s Wing, emphasized that serving humanity is akin to serving God, in line with the campaign’s philosophy, “Nar Seva Hi Narayan Seva.” Numerous WORK team members from Jaipur, including Rubina Tabassum, Lubna Firdous, Tarannum Parveen, Sadf, Ifra, Samiya, Zia Ur Rahman, Hidayat Rasool, Laiq Hasan, MS Baig, and others, participated in the event. WORK is dedicated to fostering the dawn of Satyuga in India.

Unrelenting Heatwave Grips Rajasthan, Temperatures Soar

The intense heatwave in Rajasthan is pushing temperatures in most districts to record highs. The scorching conditions are now impacting both day and night, prompting the Meteorological Department to issue severe heat warnings.

Red Alert Issued in 20 Districts

The Meteorological Center’s latest report indicates a red alert for heatwave conditions in 20 districts: Alwar, Anta Baran, Bharatpur, Dausa, Dholpur, Jhalawar, Jhunjhunu, Karauli, Kota, Sawai Madhopur, Sikar, Barmer, Bikaner, Churu, Hanumangarh, Jaisalmer, Jalore, Jodhpur, Nagaur, and Sriganganagar.

Orange Alert for Jaipur and Other Districts

An orange alert has been issued for Jaipur, Bhilwara, Bundi, Tonk, and Pali districts.

Yellow Alert for Ajmer and Chittorgarh Districts

Ajmer and Chittorgarh districts are under a yellow alert, with a heatwave warning in effect.

Temperatures Reach Record Levels

Temperatures in Phalodi and Barmer have soared above 49 degrees Celsius, with Phalodi recording 49.4 degrees Celsius and Barmer 49.3 degrees Celsius. Other areas, including Karauli, Fatehpur, Dholpur, Ganganagar, Churu, Bikaner, Jaisalmer, Kota, and Pilani, are experiencing temperatures over 48 degrees Celsius. Bhilwara, Chittorgarh, Jodhpur, and Anta Baran have recorded temperatures over 47 degrees Celsius, while Ajmer, Alwar, Jaipur, Sangaria, and Jalore have temperatures exceeding 46 degrees Celsius.
