Legal Aid Sought for Displaced Manipur Students Amid Ongoing Uncertainty

New Delhi, July 16: Former Delhi Minorities Commission member A C Michael has highlighted the plight of students from Manipur displaced by the violence in May 2023. The disruption has left many students unable to continue their education due to ongoing uncertainty and a lack of definitive resolution from the Supreme Court.

Despite petitions and legal efforts, the Supreme Court has not yet provided a clear path forward for these students. While there have been positive moves towards relocating them to other institutions, the process remains slow and fraught with challenges.

These displaced students face significant obstacles in their quest to pursue education and secure their futures. They urgently need support and advocacy to bring attention to their situation and expedite the process of ensuring educational continuity.
