Jamia Hamdard Launches Executive Development Program for Non-Teaching Staff

24 Jul. 24: In collaboration with All India Educational Movement and Hamdard Training and Welfare Society, Jamia Hamdard’s Center for Training and Development organized a program on Monday. The initiative aimed to enhance the skills of the university’s non-teaching staff and acquaint them with new technological methods, said a statement of Jamia Hamdard today.

The program commenced with the recitation of the Quran. Welcoming the guests, Professor Reshma Nasreen, Dean of the MBA Department, emphasized the importance of awareness about new learning methods and technologies. This sentiment was echoed by Professor Afshar Alam, Vice-Chancellor of Jamia Hamdard.

Professor Khwaja Shahid, President of All India Educational Movement, inaugurated the event, noting that the program was made possible with the support of the Business and Employment Bureau, now known as the Hamdard Learning Welfare Society.

The ten-day program, assisted by former ISTM faculty, focused on developing the skills of non-teaching staff and familiarizing them with new office and technical practices, highlighting the critical aspect of human resource management.

Mufti Shaukat, Executive Secretary of Hamdard Learning Center, paid tribute to the sacrifices of late Hakim Abdul Hameed for the promotion of education and health at Jamia Hamdard. This training is part of that ongoing mission. He also mentioned the efforts of the Hamdard National Foundation in Kashmir, Aurangabad, Mumbai, and other regions.

Registrar of Jamia Hamdard, Dr. M.A. Sikandar, welcomed the initiative and praised Dr. Khwaja Shahid for his preparation efforts. He advised his staff to take full advantage of the program and emphasized the importance of their feedback.

Finally, Professor Saeed Al-Nisa, Director of the Center for Training and Development, expressed gratitude to the guests, especially to Khwaja Shahid for designing the program. The event was organized by Assistant Professor Tomina Cherian of Jamia, with special support from Abdul Rashid, Secretary of the Educational Movement, Dr. Ilyas, and Aijaz Gauri. A large number of university teaching staff participated in the event.
