Begum Abida Ahmed Memorial Lecture to be Held at Ghalib Institute Today

New Delhi, August 3: The cultural organization ‘Hum Sab Drama Group’ of Ghalib Institute is organizing a memorial lecture in honor of the former First Lady of India, Begum Abida Ahmed at Aiwan-e-Ghalib, today, August 3rd, at 6 PM. The lecture, titled ‘Parsi Theatre in My View,’ will be delivered by the renowned theatre personality Ms. Hema Singh. The event will be presided over by the esteemed director and actor Mr. Aziz Qureshi.

Dr. Rakhshanda Jalil, Chairperson of Hum Sab Drama Group, will deliver the welcome address, and Dr. Idris Ahmed, Director of Ghalib Institute, will express the vote of thanks. Hum Sab Drama Group is a significant cultural organization of Ghalib Institute, founded by the late Begum Abida Ahmed. The group has staged over 70 plays both in and outside Delhi.

During the 1970s, when cultural activities in Delhi were limited, Hum Sab Drama Group presented important historical plays that attracted prominent figures of the time. The relationship between art and society has been recognized throughout history, underscoring the importance of this event. A large audience is expected to attend, considering the significance of the topic.
