Mangrol, Baran: Muslim leaders have called for urgent action against religious figures who have made derogatory remarks about Prophet Muhammad ﷺ and issued threats of genocide against the Muslim community. The demand was formally presented in a memorandum submitted to local authorities and the Governor of Rajasthan.

The delegation, led by Imam Abdul Haq Aatish of Mangrol Jama Masjid, included Imams from all mosques in the town and representatives from various Muslim organizations. They delivered the memorandum to Acting SDM Shambhu Dayal Mittal, condemning the inflammatory statements made by Mahant Ramgiri in Shah Panchale, Maharashtra, and urging his immediate arrest.

In addition, the leaders submitted a separate memorandum addressed to the Governor of Rajasthan, insisting on strict action against another religious leader in Balotra, who had publicly threatened the genocide of Muslims.

The memorandum was endorsed by a broad coalition of Muslim organizations, including the State Haj Committee, Congress party, Waqf Board, Eidgah Committee, SDPI, Public Help Society, Darul Uloom Hussainia Raza Mustafa Committee, Jamaat-e-Islami Hind Rajasthan, Tablighi Jamaat, Jamiat Ahle Hadith, Hussaini Society, SIO, and the Muslim Panchayat of Mangrol.

Notable signatories included State Haj Committee member Haji Mohd. Ashfaq, Congress leader Rafiq Bari Wale, Waqf Board President Alimuddin, and Eidgah Committee patron Haji Rafiq Ahmed. Leaders from SDPI, Jamaat-e-Islami Hind, and other organizations also joined the protest, emphasizing the need for prompt legal action to address the rising instances of hate speech and threats against the Muslim community.
