New Delhi, Sep 10: India and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) took a major step towards strengthening their Comprehensive Strategic Partnership during the official visit of Abu Dhabi’s Crown Prince, Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, to New Delhi. On his first visit as Crown Prince, Sheikh Khaled was received by Prime Minister Narendra Modi at Hyderabad House, signaling the importance of the trip. The Crown Prince was accompanied by top ministers and business leaders from the UAE, indicating the wide scope of discussions aimed at deepening economic and strategic ties between the two nations.

During the visit, Sheikh Khaled called on President Droupadi Murmu at Rashtrapati Bhavan, where both leaders expressed their satisfaction with the historic and forward-looking partnership between India and the UAE. The day saw the signing of five key agreements that expanded cooperation in new areas, reinforcing the importance of the visit for both countries. These agreements mark a continuation of the close relationship built on mutual respect and shared economic interests, further cementing the bilateral ties that have grown over the years.

Sheikh Khaled’s visit comes at a time when both nations are exploring opportunities in emerging sectors such as technology, trade, and investments. His discussions with Prime Minister Modi were focused on economic cooperation, as well as regional security concerns, especially in light of current tensions in West Asia.
