Sikar Muslims Protest against Derogatory Remarks on Prophet Muhammad ﷺ

– Raheem Khan

Sikar: The Muslim community has staged a protest and submitted a memorandum to the District Collector, calling for immediate action against individuals who made derogatory remarks about Prophet Muhammad ﷺ. The memorandum specifically names Mahant Ramgiri Maharaj and Nitish Rane, whose statements have sparked widespread outrage.

The community expressed their dissatisfaction with the Maharashtra government’s lack of action, despite the registration of an FIR against the accused. The memorandum demands immediate arrest of those responsible, emphasizing that failure to act could lead to further deterioration of communal harmony and social peace.

Notable figures present during the submission included Advocate Irshad Khinchi, journalist Mohammad Asif, Advocate Mohammad Rizwan, and several other community leaders. They collectively urged the authorities to take stringent measures against individuals who spread misinformation and incite communal discord.

The community’s response reflects a deep concern for maintaining social harmony and preventing anti-social elements from jeopardizing the peaceful coexistence of different groups.
