Seerat Provachan Held in Tarikere

Tarikere: Tarikere town in the Chikkamagaluru district, known for coffee plantations in Karnataka, hosted a programme on the Life and Message of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ last Wednesday. Popularly known as ‘Seerat Provachan’ meaning discourse on the Prophet’s teachings, the programme was attended by men and women in large numbers.

Releasing a book on the Prophet, District Asst. Commissioner Kant Raj said in the present atmosphere of degradation this kind of books are very important. It is essential to follow the Prophet, he added.

Another guest Advocate Sudhir Kumar Murali expressed that there were more than one lakh forty thousand prophets in the world and Prophet Muhammad was last among them; very few non-Muslims know this. He suggested to organise this kind of programmes at every taluka.

As one hears the words Islam, Hijab, Jehad, people become suspicious about Muslims, whereas Islam denotes peace, hijab means veil and jehad means cause of truth. Misconceptions like these can only be cleared through this kind of programmes, said Murali.

Jamaat-e-Islami Hind is helping us to understand the truth by conveying the message through literature and public meets, he added.

Presiding over the programme Muhammad Kunni, Secretary of JIH Karnataka said Muhammad ﷺ is not the prophet of Muslims alone but he was sent down for the entire mankind. Around 150 crore Muslims around the world follow him. His noble character impressed his foes too, he added.
