Morality is Freedom Campaign: JIH Aurangabad Women’s Wing Hosts Interfaith Dialogue

Aurangabad: The Women’s Wing of Jamaat-e-Islami Hind Aurangabad hosted an Interfaith Dialogue at Alankar Hotel on Wednesday, as part of the nationwide campaign titled “Morality is Freedom.”

The event commenced with a heartfelt recitation of the Quran by Shagufta Mirza, followed by a Marathi translation presented by Adeeba Anjum Hashmi. Faheem-un-Nisa, the campaign convener, delivered the inaugural address, setting a positive tone for the discussions that followed.

The program featured several esteemed guests, including Brahmakumari Sheela, Babita Patni from the Jain community, Asha Lashkare from the Nirankari community; Bharati Bhandekar, President of Jagruti Manch; and Engineer Saba Parveen from the Public Works Department (PWD).

During the dialogue, Brahmakumari Sheela emphasized the importance of good deeds for entry into paradise. Babita Patni highlighted that societal change begins at home and within oneself. Bharati Bhandekar stressed the necessity of teaching children both good education and morals to safeguard them from immorality.

Asha Lashkare advised the audience to encourage children not only to pursue careers as doctors and engineers but also to develop strong moral character.

Participants engaged enthusiastically in discussions centered on the theme “Morality is Freedom,” expressing their commitment to addressing this vital topic.

In her concluding address, Shaista Qadri, the city Nazima, underscored that true freedom is rooted in morality and emphasized the importance of instilling modesty in children. The event was skilfully conducted by Shaista Mirza, ensuring smooth proceedings throughout.

At the conclusion of the program, folders and books were distributed to attendees. The efforts of Jawwad Qadri, Ma’avin Nazime Shehar, were particularly commended, along with the presence of committee members and local leaders, which contributed to the success of the event.
