Bengaluru: Elite matchmakers organised a programme here Sunday to arrange alliance for the divorcees and widows. Due to prior announcements a substantial number of aspirants registered and attended the well organised initiative patronised by Islamic scholars and Ulama.
Admiring the initiative for alliances of widows and divorcees, an orientation and counselling session was held for the participants in the light of teachings of the Prophet ﷺ and the model society of the Prophet and his companions.
Moulana Maqsood Imran, Imam and Khateeb of Jamia Masjid City, referring the marriage of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ with Khadeeja, the three-time widow and 15 years older than the bachelor Prophet, encouraged the people to come forward to adopt the divorcees. He also advised to be mindful of the issues that may lead to divorces which usually turn out to be petty and have become very common these days. Develop understanding with the spouses with sincere and true spirit and avoid believing the hearsay, he advised. Relationship should be based on love and affection and abstain from suspicions. A healthy and lovely family generates a pleasant society, he added.
