Jamiat Condemns Assassination of Hezbollah Leaders, Israeli Attacks on Lebanon

New Delhi: Jamiat Ulama-i-Hind(M) has strongly condemned Israel’s ongoing bombardment of Lebanon and Gaza, denouncing the actions as flagrant violations of international law. The organization also condemned the assassination of Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah and other key figures, labeling the killings as cowardly and unjust.

In a statement, Jamiat President Maulana Mahmood Madani expressed grave concern over the escalating violence, noting that such aggressive acts only serve to further destabilize the already fragile region.

Maulana Madani emphasized that after the merciless killing of thousands of innocent civilians, including children, in Gaza, Israel has now turned its assault on Lebanon, leading to further bloodshed among innocent people. He asserted that they reflect Israel’s blatant disregard for international norms, compounded by the lack of any significant deterrence from the global community.

Expressing profound grief over the assassination of Hezbollah leaders, Maulana Madani termed it an unjust and cowardly attack. He stressed that Israel’s unchecked aggression is a consequence of the international community’s failure to take a firm stand against such barbaric actions, allowing these atrocities to continue unchallenged.

Calling for immediate action, Maulana Madani urged the global community to form an “Alliance of Humanity” – a unified international effort aimed at advocating for peace, protecting human rights, and securing immediate ceasefire in the Middle East. He warned that if decisive measures are not taken promptly, the entire region could plunge into widespread catastrophe with far-reaching consequences for the world at large.
