New Delhi: In an initiative aimed at strengthening moral values in society, the Jamaat-e-Islami Hind Women’s Wing North East Delhi organised a programme at Sofia Public School, Garima Garden here. This programme was part of the just concluded nationwide monthlong campaign “Morality is Freedom”. Tabassum Nishat, Organiser of JIH Women’s Wing North East Delhi, met with the school’s principal and staff to discuss the objectives of the campaign.
Principal Durga expressed her appreciation for the campaign and highlighted the growing concerns regarding the moral decay in society. “The rise in social evils is alarming, and Jamaat-e-Islami Hind deserves to be commended for addressing these pressing issues on a national scale. This campaign is not only timely but essential, as every segment of society is now concerned about the moral upbringing of their families,” she remarked.
Principal Durga further stressed that modern conveniences have disrupted the structure of family and home life, leading to a lack of guidance for children and youth.
“Young boys and girls are increasingly falling into the trap of moral decline, marriages are breaking down, and families are disintegrating. In such troubling times, campaigns like this play a crucial role in the moral training of society and families,” she added.
Highlighting the significance of the campaign, the staff members, including Miss Anila and Miss Shanti, shared their support for the movement. Miss Shanti, who was presented with a booklet and other literature related to the campaign, expressed her gratitude and stated, “I have been searching for material that encourages people to reject societal evils and promote goodness. It feels as though my prayers have been answered today through your efforts.”
Miss Anila, equally enthusiastic, pledged her support for the initiative. “I am always ready to contribute to the welfare of society. Please remember me for future programs like this. Today, more than ever, we need individuals who care about society and work to save it from the grip of evil,” she said.
She affirmed, “No society can truly be civilized unless its people possess high moral standards. It is the responsibility of conscious individuals like us to protect society from evils and promote goodness.”
The campaign by Jamaat-e-Islami Hind is being seen as a significant effort in addressing the moral challenges facing Indian society, particularly among the younger generation.
