Kota: Outrage spread across the Muslim community in Kota following the blasphemous and derogatory remarks made by Yati Narsinghanand of Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh, against Prophet Muhammad ﷺ. Under the leadership of City Qazi Zubair Ahmed, a large protest was staged at the Collectorate, where a memorandum addressed to the Prime Minister was submitted to the district administration. The memorandum called for immediate legal action against Narsinghanand and urged the government to consider amending existing laws to prevent such incidents in the future.
Addressing the media, City Qazi Zubair Ahmed strongly condemned the remarks, stating, “Yati Narsinghanand’s insult to Prophet Muhammad ﷺ was deliberate and malicious. If we fail to act now, it will only embolden others to follow suit. Such statements foster an atmosphere of hatred and pose a serious threat to the unity and integrity of our nation. As Muslims, we respect the great leaders of all religions. When we refrain from causing harm to others, how can we tolerate insults directed at our Prophet? We demand strict legal action against Yati Narsinghanand to ensure that no one else dares to hurt the religious sentiments of any community in the future.”
The protest highlighted concerns that such inflammatory remarks could incite communal discord and jeopardize the country’s harmony. The demonstrators emphasized the need for stronger laws to prevent hate speech and protect religious sentiments, calling for amendments to current legislation to safeguard the unity and peace of the nation.
