Sikar, Rajasthan: In a disturbing incident from Sikar district, a self-proclaimed spiritual leader, Baba Balknath, associated with the Kshetrapal Temple in Laxmangarh, has been accused of drugging and raping a college student. The victim lodged a formal complaint with the Udyog Nagar police station, alleging that Baba Balknath drugged her by lacing prasad (sacred offering) with sedatives, following which he sexually assaulted her, reported the ETV Bharat.
The student, who initially sought spiritual guidance from Baba Balknath due to his purported expertise in occult practices, alleges that she was invited back to meet him after their first encounter. During her second visit, she was offered prasad, after which she lost consciousness. The student claims that she was assaulted after being drugged, and a video showing Baba Balknath behaving inappropriately with her inside a car has surfaced online, sparking widespread public outrage.
The victim has named Baba Balknath and two other individuals in her complaint. She revealed that she was introduced to the spiritual leader through a man named Rajesh during a visit to the Kshetrapal Temple. What began as a visit for spiritual well-being soon turned into a nightmare, as Baba allegedly used the situation to manipulate and assault her.
According to the complaint, Baba’s driver offered her sweets, purportedly for her benefit, and later, Baba offered to drop her home. During the journey, the victim alleges that she was drugged and subsequently assaulted by Baba and his associates. It is further claimed that the incident was filmed and used to blackmail her, forcing the victim to seek police intervention.
