A tailor by profession in a small town Shirhatti in Gadag district of central Karnataka, Riyaz Ahmed has donated more than three acres of land for different institutions like Moulana Azad School and a polytechnic.
Brought up in a poor family and school dropout, Riyaz Ahmed has been running a tailoring shop for three decades. He always had the feeling to help poor children in seeking education. Riyaz’s family members are happy that they are in a position to contribute something for the cause of education, an act that is being celebrated by the community.
