Pune: Renowned scholar Mufti Muhammad Haroon Nadwi, Vice-President of Jamiat Ulama Maharashtra, emphasised the enduring honour of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ at a grand gathering at Shivaji Maidan, Kondhwa. Addressing over 15,000 attendees, he urged Muslims to remain calm in the face of provocations.
“The honour of our Prophet is exalted; every minute the name of Muhammad Mustafa ﷺ reverberates across the skies. The government benefits from disturbances, which is why it supports such provocations. Stay alert and do not be misled into emotional reactions,” he cautioned.
The event, titled “Muhammad ﷺ for All Humanity,” was organised by Ahad Foundation, Pune. The foundation’s president, Mazhar Minyar, highlighted the importance of spreading the teachings of the Prophet through educational efforts.
He noted, “Our goal is to convey the life and message of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ and present the true face of Islam.”
A major highlight of the event was the Seerah Quiz, which saw the participation of over 25,000 individuals, including women and youth. The top winners were awarded Umrah pilgrimage trips, while other prizes included refrigerators, bicycles, and study tables.
Fauzia Khan, Rajya Sabha member, presided over the event, urging attendees to become “true lovers of the Prophet ﷺ” for success in the Hereafter. She commended the foundation for its efforts and dedication.
In his concluding remarks, Mufti Nadwi stressed the need for unity, peace, and harmony, urging Muslims to confront oppression and work alongside secular allies to counter hatred.
“We must act with awareness and unity in the upcoming elections, just as we did in the Lok Sabha elections,” he advised.
