AMU Professor’s Device for Early Genetic Disorder Detection Patented by UK IPO

Aligarh: Prof. Farhan Ahmad Khan of the Department of Pharmacology at JN Medical College, Aligarh Muslim University, has been awarded a patent from the UK Intellectual Property Office for his innovative device designed to enable the early diagnosis of rare genetic disorders in children.

Prof. Khan highlighted that the device’s design represents a breakthrough, addressing some of the critical challenges in modern medical science. Once fully developed, the device is expected to significantly aid in managing rare paediatric genetic conditions.

Congratulating Prof. Khan, Prof. Syed Ziaur Rahman, Chairman of the Department of Pharmacology, praised the achievement, noting that it is a proud moment for both the department and the university.
