Tributes Paid to Maulana Azad at Birth Anniversary

Churu: Maulana Abul Kalam Azad’s birth anniversary was celebrated as National Education Day at Usmanabad Colony here. In his book Gubar-e-Khatir, Maulana Azad described his time in prison as a joyful experience, stating that living with a cheerful heart is the true meaning of life, whether it be in prison or outside. Tributes were paid on this occasion, acknowledging his contributions as a freedom fighter, the country’s first education minister, and a renowned scholar, poet, and writer.

Azam Ali Khan Pitisar, president of the organisation, shed light on his life and offered prayers for his elevation. Among those who paid their respects were Inayat Khan, Mohammad Ali Khan, Manuddin Khan, Rizwan Khan, Munshi Khan Chayal, Anwar Khan, and Taufiq Khan. Similarly, at Indira Memorial School Madrasa, the institution’s director, Akhtar Khan Ruknkhany, along with school staff, offered floral tributes to a portrait of Maulana Azad.

The event commemorated the birth anniversary of Maulana Abul Kalam Azad by recognising his contributions to India’s freedom struggle and education system. The gathering paid tributes to him, highlighting his spirit of resilience and his dedication to education. The event also involved discussions on his life and works, emphasising his significance as a scholar and a statesman.
