Dr. Allama Iqbal’s Birth Anniversary Celebrated as Urdu Day

Churu: The birth anniversary of Dr. Allama Iqbal was celebrated as World Urdu Day at Madrasa Indira Memorial Public School and Royal Disabled Development Institution here.

Speaking at the school event, Akhtar Khan Ruknkhany, the state president of the institution, said that Dr. Allama Iqbal’s poetry encapsulates the philosophy of life. Social worker Mahboob Khan Naswan paid tribute to Allama Iqbal through his poetry. Principal Sabina Bano shed light on the life of the poet Dr. Iqbal and provided detailed information about his life.

Teachers Aslam Khan, Ramadan Khan, Allaudei, Shabana Khan, Rehan Khan, Shabnam Bano, Madina Bano, Ali Hassan, and Joha Bano, along with the school children, offered floral tributes to a portrait of Dr. Iqbal and prayed for him.

The event commemorated the birth anniversary of Dr. Allama Iqbal by celebrating it as International Urdu Day. The school organised various activities including speeches, poetry recitations, and floral tributes to honour the poet. The speakers highlighted the philosophical depth of Iqbal’s poetry and his significant contributions to Urdu literature.
