Bengaluru: A one day workshop for the heads of Islamic seminaries was held here Thursday under the auspices of Federation of Madaris Trust Karnataka. Chief Guest, former Law Secretary Justice Ismail briefed about the Right to Religious Education in the light of Article 25 to 30 of the Constitution.
Former IAS officer Mohammed Sanaulla and Advocate Ayub explained about RTE and NCPCR Act. Moulana Akbar Shariff Nadwi, from Madrasa Shah Waliulla, Bengaluru; Mufti Shoaibulla Khan Miftahi, Rector Madrasa Maseehul Uloom; Moulana Khalid Baig Nadwi, Tumkur addressed the workshop. Amir-e-Shariat Karnataka Moulana Sagheer Ahmed Khan, presided over the programme.
Around 150 participants of various Madrasas from Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh and Telangana were actively involved in the interactive sessions.
Aspire Academy President Nisar Azeez briefed the audience about the activities of his academy. Federation general secretary Moulana Shabbir Nadwi welcomed the gathering earlier while Federation president Moulana Ifteqar Qasmi extended vote of thanks.
