NCPUL Holds a Significant Position in Asia; Appeal to Government to Preserve Its Prestige
New Delhi: Dr. Syed Ahmed Khan, National President of Urdu Development Organisation (UDO), has written a letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, urging action to save the National Council for Promotion of Urdu Language (NCPUL) from deterioration. Highlighting the importance of this esteemed institution, Dr. Khan emphasised that NCPUL plays a significant role in enhancing India’s image and prestige across Asia.
Expressing his concern, Dr. Khan noted that the absence of a Vice Chairman for the past three years has left the NCPUL in a paralysed state. This administrative void has stalled the formation of the Council’s Governing Body, which is critical for its smooth functioning. He appealed for the immediate appointment of a Vice Chairman to restore NCPUL’s operational efficiency and uphold its stature in the region.
Dr. Khan reiterated that NCPUL has significantly contributed to promoting India’s cultural and linguistic identity on a global scale and called upon the government to prevent the institution from being deliberately neglected or weakened.
