Thousands of people attended the last day of two-day Tablighi Ijtema held between Badlapur and Vangani near the district police station in Goregaon. Tablighi Jamaat scholars reminded the people, saying “We need to correct the direction of our lives and establish a relationship with Allah’s commandments and the Islamic Shariah. Today, we are leading lives according to our own desires, abandoning our Lord. As a result, the Ummah is suffering from the current circumstances, and there seems to be no apparent solution.”
Participants were encouraged to conduct simple marriages; several marriages were conducted during the ijtema to serve as role models. The Ijtema began after the Fajr prayer on Saturday and concluded after the Maghrib prayer with a dua (supplication) on Sunday.
Maulana Manzoor Ahmed prayed for the welfare and prosperity of the Ummah and humanity, the pleasure of Allah, adherence to the Sunnah, good morals, global peace, and peace and tranquillity in the country. Maulana also conveyed the message that each of us is always striving to build and develop the world, but we are completely oblivious to the preparation for the Hereafter and an eternal life, which is the greatest loss.
He reminded the people that our circumstances will improve when our actions improve and our deeds align with Allah’s commandments, the Shariah of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ. He stated that our biggest shortcoming is that we have neglected the responsibility of Amr bil Ma’ruf and Nahi anil Munkar (commanding the right and forbidding the evil), even though this is the fundamental responsibility of the Ummah, and on this basis, it has been honored with the title of Khair-e-Ummah (the Best of the communities).
