Jaipur: The 1500th Jashn-e-Eid Miladun Nabi and 813th Urs of Khwaja Garib Nawaz were celebrated under the auspices of Sunni Dawat-e-Islami at Eidgah on Delhi Bypass Road.
At Jashn-e-Khwaja Garib Nawaz late-night programme, the chief guest, Amir Hazrat Maulana Muhammad Shakir Ali Nuri of Sunni Dawat-e-Islami (Mumbai), highlighted the life and teachings of Khwaja Garib Nawaz.
He stated, “Khwaja Garib Nawaz conveyed a universal message of peace and tranquillity through the Quran and Sufism. His life was dedicated to spreading the teachings of the Quran and the wisdom of Sufi saints.”
The keynote speaker, Aale Rasool Alhaj Maulana Syed Aminul Qadri (Malegaon), emphasised the importance of blending modern education with moral and fundamental teachings of Islam. He called for efforts to combat societal evils and drug addiction, urging collective action to address these pressing issues. The programme also featured Sana Khan Alhaj Qari Muhammad Rizwan Khan (Mumbai), who recited Hamd, Naat, and Manqabat.
Aale Rasool Alhaj Maulana Syed Muhammad Qadri (Jaipur) underscored the significance of Sufi teachings in India, a land rich in Sufi traditions and the legacy of Khwaja Garib Nawaz. He called for the promotion of Sufi ideologies and the active engagement of youth in social service activities. He urged participants to contribute to the nation’s progress and prosperity, stressing the need to spread goodness and curb societal evils.
The Sunni Ijtema, chaired by Jaipur city Mufti Hazrat Maulana Mufti Abdussattar Razvi, concluded with Salat-o-Salam, special Zikr, and a heartfelt Dua.
Earlier in the afternoon, Team SDI Umeed hosted a special session for school and college students. This session, led by subject matter experts Muhammad Ismail and Muhammad Nizamuddin from Mumbai, provided guidance on selecting academic and career paths after board exams. Students were encouraged to explore opportunities that align with their aspirations and ensure a bright future.
