RIFAH Organises Pre-Budget Discussion Ahead of Rajasthan State Budget 2025

– Raheem Khan

Jaipur: RIFAH Chamber of Commerce and Industry (RCCI) organised a pre-budget discussion meeting here Wednesday to gather important suggestions for Rajasthan State Budget 2025, discuss demands, and review ongoing schemes and policies. The meeting provided an opportunity for stakeholders, industry leaders, and members of society to contribute to the creation of an inclusive and effective state budget.

Naeem Rabbani, President of RCCI Rajasthan, and other participants made the following suggestions for the budget 2025-26:

  • Increase budget for minority departments: The current allocation of less than 1% of the total state budget to minority departments is insufficient. The expenditure and utilisation of the allocated budget should be properly monitored to ensure that minorities receive the benefits they are entitled to.
  • Ease of doing business in the MSME sector: The current ease of doing business in the MSME sector is impractical and needs to be simplified.
  • Maintain 5% GST on garment industry: The GST rate on garment industry should not be increased.
  • Increase the number of Mahatma Gandhi English Medium Schools.
  • Implement Prime Minister’s 15-point programme effectively: The government should resume providing data on the implementation of this programme, which has been discontinued for three years.
  • Include Kalander, Mirasi, and Faqir castes in the nomadic category.
  • Restart central government schemes: The state government should restart central government schemes like Pre-matric scholarship, Nai Udaan, Naya Savera, and coaching schemes.
  • Fill vacant posts in madrasas: The state government should fill vacant posts of computer teachers and Urdu teachers in madrasas and focus on quality education in madrasas.
  • Start a financial support system for skill development and industry startups.
  • Raise awareness about Minority Development Finance Corporation: The budget of this corporation is very low, and there is a need to create awareness.

Naeem Rabbani said the pre-budget meeting provided a valuable opportunity for stakeholders to contribute to the creation of an inclusive and effective state budget.
