AAP Alleges Widespread Electoral Fraud Using Union Ministers’ and MPs’ Addresses

– Abdul Bari Masoud

New Delhi: Senior Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader and Member of Parliament Sanjay Singh on Saturday accused Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) of orchestrating largescale electoral fraud by registering fake votes using addresses of Union Ministers, MPs, former MPs, and other prominent individuals.

Singh revealed that addresses which previously showed only 2–5 registered voters during the last Lok Sabha elections now list between 28–44 voters. He alleged that this manipulation was part of an unethical strategy by BJP to influence elections.

During a press conference, Singh specifically highlighted BJP leaders, including New Delhi candidate Parvesh Verma, accusing them of using government accommodations as hubs for voter fraud. “Applications for up to 33 fake votes have emerged from a single MP’s residence,” he said, citing government documents.

Singh provided several examples of alleged voter fraud:

  • Parvesh Verma: Despite being a former MP, Verma has illegally occupied an official MP bungalow since May last. Singh alleged that Verma filed applications to register 33 votes using this address.
  • Pankaj Chaudhary, Union Minister of State: Allegedly filed applications for 26 votes at his official address.
  • Kamlesh Paswan, another Union Minister: Accused of filing 26 voter registrations at his government residence.
  • Mookerjee Smruti Nyas: Singh revealed that 31 votes were registered from an MP’s address here.
  • Jai Prakash, BJP MP from Hardoi: Allegedly filed 25 voter registrations at his official residence on 13, Teen Murti Marg.
  • Rebati Tripura, former BJP MP: Reportedly applied for 25 voter registrations from guest accommodations on 51, South Avenue.
  • CP Joshi, BJP MP from Rajasthan: Allegedly submitted applications for 28 votes at 14, Windsor Place.

Singh also highlighted other instances of suspicious voter registrations, including:

  • Bhagwan Valmiki Mandir, a small location near Lady Hardinge Hospital: 44 voter applications were filed for this address.
  • 212, VP House, a two-bedroom flat: 24 voter registrations were requested.
  • Tiny Offices and Shops: Applications for 23 votes from 513 Naurang House (a small office), 21 votes from Shop No. 110, Sangli Mess, and 22 votes from 6, Mahadev Road.
  • Other Residences: 20 voter applications were filed at 1 Balwant Mehta Lane and 87 Basement, Jor Bagh – a non-residential basement.

“This is not an ordinary matter. These addresses belong to Union Ministers, MPs, and other influential figures. This fraudulent activity raises serious questions about the BJP’s ethics and its claims of being the world’s largest party,” Singh said.

Singh directly challenged Prime Minister Narendra Modi and BJP leaders, asking, “Is this the BJP’s method for winning elections? Are these the principles you stand by?”

Singh urged the Election Commission to immediately investigate and take strict action against those involved. He demanded criminal cases be filed against individuals implicated in this voter fraud based on official documents.

“These examples clearly show how BJP manipulates the electoral process at a massive scale. This is the reality behind their claims of success,” Singh concluded.
