‘Password Camp’ Held at AMU Malappuram Centre

Aligarh: The National Service Scheme (NSS) unit at the Aligarh Muslim University Malappuram Centre, Kerala organised a one-day camp on Career Guidance and Personality Development, titled, ‘Password 2024-25’ in collaboration with the PTM Government College, Perinthalmanna, which was sponsored by the Directorate of Minority Welfare, Government of Kerala.

Dr. Faisal K.P. (Director, AMU Malappuram Centre) welcomed the guests and emphasised the constitutional mandate to uplift minority communities and thanked the Directorate for sanctioning a camp at the AMU Centre.

While inaugurating the camp, the chief guest, Mr. K.T. Ashraf (Member, Malappuram District Panchayat) discussed career prospects and the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in searching job opportunities according to one’s qualifications and capabilities. He also highlighted the positive and negative aspects of AI and stressed the need for a careful and mindful use of this new computer feature that is set to bring a revolution in daily life of people across the world.

Ms. Rajeena P. (Principal, Career Counselling and Minority Youth, Perinthalmanna) outlined various programmes undertaken by CCMY; while Dr. Hamza V.K. (Provost of Halls of Residence) underscored the relevance of correlating AI with career prospects.

Mr. Mohd Ahazam Khan (Assistant Registrar) stressed the importance of personality development and career guidance in building a competitive edge; while Dr. Luhluh Jahan (Camp Coordinator from PTM Government College) concluded the inaugural session with a vote of thanks.

Mr. Jamaludheen M., (Career Acharya) conducted a session on “Career Guidance, Goal Setting and Motivation” and explained various career prospects and top institutions in India and abroad engaging the students with relatable insights.

Later, at a session on “Personality Development, Leadership and Time Management,” Dr. Sreejil (a Corporate Trainer) and Ms. Usha R. Poornima (Soft Skills Trainer) emphasised the importance of personality development in today’s competitive world and discussed leadership tactics necessary for the students.

Earlier, Dr. Raghul V. Rajan (Camp Coordinator, AMU Malappuram Centre) delivered the welcome address.

In his presidential remarks at the valedictory session, Prof Afsar Jamal P. (Principal, PTM Government College, Perinthalmanna) urged the participants to pay attention to the personality development aspect of their learning with special focus on developing good communication skills.

Mr. K. Sudheer Babu (President, Elamkulam Panchayat) and Dr. Raghul V. Rajan (NSS Programme Officer and Camp Coordinator) thanked the guests and participants, including 50 participants from AMU Malappuram centre and 50 from the PTM College, Perinthalmanna.

Earlier, Dr. Suma P. (PTM College) gave a welcome address at the valedictory function.

The Volunteer Secretaries Ms. Afina S.S. and Mr. Yunus V.I. led the organising team, while Ms. Ummu Abeedha hosted the programme.
