ZCF, HWF Organise Free Medical Camp to Mark International Cancer Day

Lucknow: Marking the International Cancer Day on February 4, the Zakat and Charitable Foundation in coordination with Human Welfare Foundation organised a free medical camp at Muazzam Nagar. This medical camp aimed at making the people aware of the dreaded disease cancer and the ways to ward if off. It also conducted diabetes, BP and general health tests to make people aware of their health challenges, if any.

More than 80 patients visited the camp and were treated for their various ailments.

The doctors advised the patients to adopt healthy way of life, taking balanced diet and undertaking regular health check-up. They said diseases like BP and diabetes may cause fatal diseases like cancer; so, it is necessary to undergo health check-up from time to time.

The experts informed the patients about the symptoms, causes and preventive measures of cancer. They also said that tobacco, tobacco consumption and unhealthy way of life are major causes of cancer. They maintained that the treatment of cancer is possible if the disease is detected in time.

The patients belonging to poor and deprived sections of society were provided with basic medical facilities free of cost. The organisers said they strive to provide those who cannot bear costly treatment with basic medical facilities. They said they would organise such free camps in future as well so that more and more needy persons might get medical facilities and be aware of health challenges.

Dr. Suhail Ahmad, Zafaruddin Ansari, Muhammad Arif, coordinator Asad Ali, and HWF representative Aas Muhammad were present in the health camp.
