Jamiat Ulama-i-Hind (M) Condemns Trump’s Proposal on Gaza

New Delhi: Jamiat Ulama-i-Hind (M) on Thursday strongly condemned former US President Donald Trump’s proposal to forcibly expel Palestinians from occupied Gaza and transform it into a tourist hub. The organization called on the international community, particularly the United Nations and influential global powers, to categorically reject the proposal as an affront to justice and humanity.
In a statement, Jamiat president Maulana Mahmood Madani denounced the proposal as not only absurd but also a blatant violation of international law and human rights. He emphasized that Gaza is not just a geographical territory but the homeland of over two million Palestinians who have endured decades of occupation, aggression, and oppression. Any attempt to forcibly remove them from their land would constitute a severe assault on human dignity and fundamental rights.
Maulana Madani further highlighted that nearly 50,000 innocent Palestinians have already lost their lives in Israel’s recent brutal onslaught. Implementing such an unjust plan would only deepen their suffering and worsen the ongoing humanitarian crisis. Expressing deep anguish, he criticized the US President for aligning with a ruthless Israeli leader to endorse such a draconian proposal from the White House. He remarked that any leader with a conscience would be ashamed to support such a cruel and inhumane scheme.
Jamiat Ulama-i-Hind (M) urged the United Nations and global powers to firmly oppose this plan and take decisive steps to protect the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people. It also called upon India to maintain its principled stance in support of Palestine and continue advocating for justice and peace.
Reaffirming its unwavering solidarity with the Palestinian people, Jamiat Ulama-i-Hind (M) demanded the reconstruction of Gaza, the restoration of Palestinian rights, and a just and lasting resolution to the Palestinian issue.
