Dhaka International Marathon 2025 Held with a Message of Unity

The Dhaka International Marathon 2025, one of Bangladesh’s most anticipated sporting events, was successfully held in the 300 Feet area of Dhaka under the overall supervision of the Bangladesh Army. With the theme “Run for Unity, Run for Humanity,” the marathon aimed to foster harmony, inclusivity, and international friendship through sports.
The event was inaugurated on Saturday morning by Lieutenant General SM Kamrul Hasan, Principal Staff Officer of the Army. In his address, he highlighted the importance of sports in bringing people together and promoting a spirit of solidarity beyond national and cultural boundaries.
This year’s marathon set a record as the largest ever organized in Bangladesh, drawing around 10,000 runners from different backgrounds, including professional athletes, amateur runners, and fitness enthusiasts. The event also witnessed significant global participation, with runners from 10 different countries joining, further boosting its international stature.
The marathon was not just a race but a celebration of unity, resilience, and diversity. Participants expressed their enthusiasm, emphasizing how such events help promote peace and mutual respect. The presence of international runners also underscored Bangladesh’s growing prominence in the global sports arena.
With its successful execution, the Dhaka International Marathon 2025 has strengthened its position as a key annual sporting event, inspiring both professional and aspiring runners to embrace the values of determination, perseverance, and togetherness.
