Seven Innocents, Including Five Juveniles, Acquitted in Nuh Violence Case

New Delhi, February 17: The Principal Magistrate of Nuh Juvenile Justice Board, Dr. Priyank Jain, acquitted five juveniles in the July 31, 2023, Nuh violence case. The Nuh Sessions Court also cleared two adults, Mohammad Majlis and Mehboob, from Jaisinghpur.

The court found no solid evidence against them. No CCTV footage, call records, or location data linked them to the crime. They were not arrested at the scene or during the incident. Witnesses failed to identify them in cross-examination.

Due to these gaps, the court ruled there was reasonable doubt and acquitted them. Their bail bonds will be returned. The Nuh Probation Officer must now prepare an Individual Care Plan for the juveniles. Case records will be maintained under the Juvenile Justice Act, 2015, and its Rules, 2016. Once formalities are complete, the file will be sent to the records department.

Advocate Tahir Ropadiya and his team from Jamiat Ulama-e-Hind fought their case. Families thanked Jamiat President Maulana Mahmood Asad Madani for his legal support.

After the Nuh violence, hundreds were arrested, many innocent. Families sought help from Jamiat’s General Secretary, Maulana Hakimuddin Qasmi. He consulted local representatives and initiated legal action.

Supreme Court lawyer Maulana Niaz Ahmed Farooqui led the legal team, including Advocates Tahir Ropadiya and Haroon. Jamiat Ulama-e-Hind is handling 663 Nuh violence cases. So far, 645 people have secured bail.

Maulana Yahya Karimi, General Secretary of Jamiat Ulama-e-Muttahida Punjab, praised Maulana Mahmood Madani. He said this verdict strengthens faith in justice.

Jamiat Ulama-e-Hind continues to provide legal aid to the wrongfully accused, ensuring justice for all.
