New Delhi: The Department of Biotechnology, School of Chemical and Life Sciences, Jamia Hamdard, is set to organise a National Conference cum Workshop on “Sustainable Biotech Solutions for Global Challenges” from February 19th to 21st, 2025. This prestigious event, sponsored by DBT & DST-SERB, Govt. of India, will bring together leading scientists, academicians, policymakers, and industry experts to discuss cutting-edge innovations in biotechnology, sustainable agriculture, healthcare, and environmental science.
The Inaugural Session on February 19, at 10:00 AM, will be graced by Dr. Sanjay Kumar, Chairperson, Agricultural Scientists Recruitment Board (ASRB), Department of Agricultural Research and Education, Ministry of Agriculture & Farmers Welfare, Government of India, as the Chief Guest.
The conference is being organised under the leadership of Prof. M. Z. Abdin (Organising Secretary), with Dr. Humaira Farooqi (Head, Department of Biotechnology) along with Dr. Saima Wajid and Dr. Jagriti Narang as the Conveners. The Co-Conveners include Dr. Javaid Ahmad Sheikh, Dr. Mairaj A. Ansari, Dr. Monica Saifi, and Dr. Javed Ahmad.
