Promotion of Unani Medicine is the Tre Tribute to Hakim Ajmal Khan: Imaduddin Ahmed Khan
Jaipur – The All India Unani Tibbi Congress, Rajasthan State, in collaboration with Rajasthan Unani Medical College, organized Global Unani Medicine Day at the Chamber of Commerce in Jaipur. The event was presided over by Professor Mushtaq Ahmed, who emphasized the invaluable contributions of renowned freedom fighter and healer Masih-ul-Mulk Hakim Hafiz Mohammad Ajmal Khan. He urged the Indian government to honor him with the Bharat Ratna and to upgrade the Ayurveda and Unani Tibbia College, New Delhi, established by Hakim Ajmal Khan, into a National Unani University.
The event featured former Rajasthan Health Minister Nawab Imaduddin Ahmed Khan as the chief guest, who highlighted that the true tribute to Hakim Ajmal Khan lies in the promotion and advancement of Unani medicine. He reaffirmed his commitment to the development of Unani and Ayurveda and expressed satisfaction over the progress made so far.
Dr. Syed Ahmed Khan, General Secretary of the All India Unani Tibbi Congress, acknowledged the instrumental role of Nawab Imaduddin Ahmed Khan in establishing a separate Unani Department and a Government Unani Medical College in Rajasthan. He also expressed gratitude to leaders like Bhairon Singh Shekhawat, Girdhari Lal Bhargava, Dr. Ujala Arora, and Ashok Gehlot for their contributions to the promotion of Unani medicine in the state.
Several distinguished speakers, including Dr. Sunil Sharma (Vice Chancellor, Gyan Vihar University, Jaipur), Amin Kagzi (MLA), Mohammad Rafiq Khan (MLA), Chaudhary Mohammad Munawar Khan, Professor Ghulam Qutub Chishti, Dr. Mehmood Ahsan Siddiqui, Dr. Fayaz Ahmed, Dr. Mohammad Aslam, Dr. Mohammad Shafiq Ahmed Naqvi, Dr. Azam Ansari, and Dr. Mohammad Irshad Khan, paid tribute to Hakim Ajmal Khan and emphasized the need for further strengthening the Unani medical system.
The event was anchored by Dr. Syed Abdul Mujeeb, who also issued the official statement on behalf of the All India Unani Tibbi Congress, Rajasthan State. The program witnessed significant participation from faculty members, students, and medical practitioners.
