19-Year-Old from Tamil Nadu Gains Global Recognition for Extraordinary Linguistic Talent

Chennai, February 23: In an extraordinary achievement, 19-year-old Mahmood Akram from Tamil Nadu has set a world record by mastering 400 languages, including reading, writing, speaking, and even typing in them. His father, Abdul Hameed, himself a renowned linguist, has received several international accolades and played a pivotal role in inspiring Mahmood’s linguistic journey.

Mahmood’s linguistic prowess became evident at a very young age. According to his father, “I frequently traveled to different countries, and my son developed a keen interest in languages. I never expected him to learn so many languages so quickly and effortlessly.”

Mahmood has learned a diverse range of languages, including Assamese, Bengali, Hindi, Dogri, Tamil, Telugu, Urdu, Nepali, Arabic, Chinese, Balochi, English, German, French, Hebrew, and many more. His exceptional linguistic abilities have earned him widespread recognition.

Hailing from the Peni district of Tamil Nadu, Mahmood’s journey into languages began when he was just four years old. His parents introduced him to English and basic linguistic structures, and by the age of seven, he had already mastered more than 50 languages. By the time he turned 19, he had surpassed all previous linguistic records, making him a unique figure in the world.

Mahmood revealed in an interview that he started by memorizing the alphabets of different languages before gradually developing reading and speaking skills. His passion led him to explore linguistic resources such as the OmniGlot encyclopedia, an online language database that assisted him in understanding and perfecting multiple languages.

Mahmood’s feat has left language experts astounded, as no individual in recorded history has demonstrated such an extensive grasp of languages at such a young age. His achievements have also attracted the attention of the Guinness Book of World Records, where his linguistic skills are being evaluated for official recognition.

His father recalls, “During my travels, I faced communication barriers in many countries, which made me realize the importance of knowing multiple languages. This is why I encouraged my son to learn as many languages as possible. Today, his dedication is setting new benchmarks in linguistic studies.”

With the world acknowledging his rare talent, Mahmood Akram continues to inspire many, proving that passion and perseverance can break barriers and redefine possibilities in the field of language learning.
