Jaipur: Jamaat-e-Islami Hind Rajasthan President Muhammad Nazimuddin condemned the recent incident with schoolgirls in Bijainagar, Beawar district, calling it shameful. He said rising crimes against women in Rajasthan are alarming, and both society and the government must take concrete steps to stop them.
He criticized the media for repeatedly naming a particular community and the accused, saying it unfairly gives the incident a communal angle. He stressed that no accused can be called guilty until proven in court.
Nazimuddin said a family’s entire household should not suffer for one person’s crime. He called it unjust to issue notices to the mosque and cemetery or seal the cemetery gate based on the incident.
He demanded a fair investigation and strict punishment for the guilty while ensuring innocent people are not harassed. He condemned the municipal action of issuing notices and bulldozing houses, calling it illegal, unethical, and a violation of the Supreme Court’s order. He urged authorities to stop such actions immediately.
