Rajasthan: Infant Crushed to Death During Police Raid in Alwar

In a tragic incident during a police raid in Rajasthan’s Alwar district, a one-month-old infant lost her life after allegedly being crushed by a police officer.
The raid took place on Saturday morning in Raghunathgarh village, where police arrived in two jeeps around 6:00 a.m. to arrest an accused in a cyber fraud case. The house of Imran Khan, a laborer, was targeted in the operation.
According to the grieving mother, she was sleeping beside her infant daughter, Alisba, when police officers forcefully entered their home. She stated, “The policeman barged into our house, pulled me away, and pushed me out of the room. They stepped on my daughter’s head and killed her.” The family alleged that Alisba, who was asleep in her cot, succumbed to her injuries on the spot.
No female officers were present during the raid, and when the family reported the incident, police allegedly did not respond. This led to anger among the villagers, who staged a protest demanding action against the officers involved. Following the public outcry, a complaint was filed against two policemen.
Expressing his shock over the incident, Leader of Opposition Tika Ram Jully stated, “Look at the kind of horror spreading in Alwar. Police harass people in the name of cyber fraud, conduct raids, and extort money.”
The incident has sparked outrage on social media, with users questioning the legality of the raid and condemning police negligence. The debate over police brutality and lack of accountability continues to grow.
