New Delhi: AAP leader Sanjay Singh accused BJP of renaming Mughal-era roads while PM Modi proudly shows the Taj Mahal to foreign leaders. He questioned why BJP ignores British-era names.
At a press conference, Singh said BJP uses historical revisionism to divert attention from unemployment, inflation, and rising inequality. He noted that ₹94 lakh crore was lost in the stock market in five months.
He pointed out Union Minister Krishna Pal Gurjar renamed his Tughlaq Lane residence to Vivekananda Marg, exposing BJP’s contradiction.
Singh mocked BJP, asking when they plan to demolish the Taj Mahal. He highlighted that PMs deliver Independence Day speeches from the Red Fort, also built by Mughals.
He reminded that British rulers hanged freedom fighters like Bhagat Singh, Sukhdev, Rajguru, and others. Yet, BJP leaders never condemn British atrocities, as their ancestors collaborated with them.
He criticized RSS for calling the tricolor “inauspicious” and noted that Shyama Prasad Mukherjee supported the British against the Quit India Movement.
Singh challenged BJP and RSS to an open debate on Mughal rule, calling them “traitors pretending to be patriots.”
