Ahead of the second half of the Budget Session in Parliament, the All India Muslim Personal Law Board (AIMPLB) has launched a series of protests against the Waqf (Amendment) Bill, expected to be tabled soon. The Board is exerting pressure on BJP’s key allies—TDP and JD(U)—by organizing a protest at Jantar Mantar on March 13, inviting all Opposition parties to participate.
In Bihar, AIMPLB, alongside other Muslim organizations and civil society groups, is set to hold a rally in Patna on Monday to send a strong message to JD(U). The Board has warned that if the Bill is passed, it will initiate a nationwide movement to oppose it.
