Tejashwi Yadav Attends JIH’s Iftar, Says It Builds Communal Harmony

Patna: Senior RJD leader and opposition leader Tejashwi Yadav, along with other dignitaries, attended a Dawat-e-Iftar organised by Jamat-e-Islami Hind, Bihar, here Sunday. In his brief interaction, Tejashwi said India is an example of Ganga-Jamuni Tehzeeb where people of different religions live together. Appreciating this effort by JIH Bihar, Tejashwi said such programmes help maintain communal harmony.

He said it is our duty to preserve peace and tranquillity in Bihar and the country. He said that for Bihar and India to prosper and progress, a peaceful environment is essential.

BJP MLA from Kumhrar (Patna) Arun Kumar Sinha said he felt quite happy by attending this Dawat-e-Iftar hosted by JIH, Bihar.

Welcoming the guests, JIH, Bihar’s chief Maulana Rizwan Ahmad Islahi said that in this country of 140 crore people, 17 languages are spoken and over six thousand communities live together. “People from all major religions are present here. In such a country we need love, brotherhood and empathy. Only then our country will progress. Eid, Ramadan and Holi-Diwali are such occasions that bring people together,” said Maulana Rizwan.

Rajya Sabha member of RJD Sanjay Yadav, JDU MLC Afaque Ahmad Khan, ex-chairman of Bihar Public Service Commission Imtiaz Ahmad Karimi and other prominent political leaders, administrators, journalists and social activists participated in this Dawat-e-Iftar.
