FMM Urges Calm as Holi Falls on Friday, Calls for Strict Action Against Troublemakers

Mumbai: The Federation of Maharashtra Muslims (FMM) has called on the Muslim community to exercise patience and strategic wisdom as Holi coincides with Friday prayers this year.
In a statement, FMM warned that communal elements are attempting to disturb the law-and-order situation in the state. It urged Muslims to remain vigilant and not fall prey to provocation. The federation emphasized that Ramadan is a month of patience and urged the community to uphold peace despite any provocations.
FMM also demanded strict action from law enforcement against miscreants, stressing that determined policing can prevent even the slightest disturbance. “If the police act firmly, riots and violence can be averted entirely,” the statement read.
The appeal was jointly issued by prominent Muslim leaders, including Maulana Umrain Mahfooz Rahmani of AIMPLB, Mahmood Ahmed Daryabadi of the Ulema Council, Maulana Hafiz Ilyas Khan Falahi of Jamaat-e-Islami Hind, MLA Abu Asim Azmi, and others.
FMM expressed hope that law enforcement, with the support of peace-loving citizens, would ensure communal harmony and thwart any attempts to incite unrest.
