Shiv Sena (UBT) Demands Resignation of Minister Nitesh Rane for Anti-Constitutional Remarks

Mumbai: Akhil Chitre, State Organizer of Shiv Sena (UBT), has demanded the immediate resignation of Maharashtra’s Fisheries and Ports Minister, Nitesh Rane, accusing him of making anti-constitutional and communal statements. In a letter to the Governor, Chitre highlighted that Rane violates his oath of office by spreading hatred and discriminating against opposition leaders and minorities.
Chitre criticized Rane for openly denying development funds to opposition members, stating that public funds belong to taxpayers, not personal property. He also condemned Rane’s remarks about where people should eat or buy meat, calling it an attack on personal freedoms.
The Shiv Sena leader further accused Rane of distorting Shivaji Maharaj’s history and using his position for political vendetta. He urged Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis to take legal action and clarify his government’s stance. Silence on such hate-filled rhetoric is unacceptable, he asserted.
