Nirmal, Telangana : A junior assistant at the Mandal Revenue Office (MRO) in Tanoor, Abdul Wakeel, was assaulted by cow vigilantes in Bhainsa town on Monday evening. The attack occurred after the vigilantes objected to the saffron cloth, he had used to wrap official files while commuting on his motorbike, reported the Times of India.
According to reports, Wakeel, who was fasting at the time, was intercepted and physically assaulted by members of the right-wing group Hindu Vahini. A video of the incident, which has gone viral on social media, shows the attackers harassing and attacking the official over the color of the cloth.
