Aligarh: Prof. Nasrin, Department of Education, Aligarh Muslim University delivered an insightful lecture on “Effective Pedagogical Practices for 21st Century Teachers” at the Faculty of Educational Sciences and Technology, Universiti Teknologi Malaysia.
She discussed how pedagogy, as both theory and practice of teaching, must adapt to the rapidly evolving demands of learners shaped by social, political, and psychological factors.
Emphasising the four Cs of 21st century skills – creativity, collaboration, critical thinking, and communication – Prof. Nasrin highlighted learner-centred, project-based, and technology-integrated teaching as key to achieving meaningful educational outcomes.
She also addressed the challenges in implementing these practices, such as technological gaps, limited resources, and teacher preparedness, and stressed the importance of contextualising teaching methods to local and subject-specific needs.
