Religious politics and discrimination on the basis of caste and religion are unacceptable and worrying, said Swami Shri Raghuvedra Das Ji Maharaj, in a meeting held at the headquarters of All India Muslim Majlis-e-Mushawarat (AIMMM). He was participating in a discussion on Peace and Communal Harmony.
Referring to the recent Dharma Sansad of Haridwar, the founder of Satya Dharma Samvad Swami Shri Raghuvedra said that it was not a religious parliament but a political parliament, wherein people in the guise of sadhus, priests, scholars, fakirs, mahatmas advocated violence. They are the enemies of humanity. Seventy percent of those who claim to be religious representatives have not even read the Mahabharata.
While supporting the Palestine cause, he described the massacre of innocent and oppressed people as a shameful act and emphasized the establishment of peace and law and order and promotion of communal harmony.
The AIMMM General Secretary Syed Tahseen Ahmed briefed that Mushawarat is not a place for religious propagation, rather it is an association of various Muslim religious organizations and social groups, whose objective is to promote cultural diversity and social harmony. AIMMM also promotes inter-religious harmony and inter-cultural dialogue.
The Convener of Khudai Khidmatgar Faisal Khan said that it is difficult to talk about humanity and love at present, hence joint efforts are needed for communal harmony and brotherhood. Leader of a farmer’s organisation Purbal Pratap Shahi said that we need to unite to establish the principle of ‘live and let live’.
The meeting was organized by Delhi Khudai Khidmatgar, All India Muslim Majlis-e-Mushawarat, Society for Communal Harmony and Delhi Bharat Jodo Abhiyan.
Rizwan Khan (National Organizer Khudai Khidmatgar), Dr. Jitendra Kumar and Naveen Tiwari (Delhi Bharat Jodo Abhiyan), Parvez Alam, Arshad Ansari, Chand Shaikh, Abhay Singh, Ilya Kumar, Aamir etc. participated in the program.
