Ranebennur, Haveri (Karnataka): A protest meeting was organised after Jumu’ah prayers on April 25 at the religious educational institution, Nadwa-e-Islam Ahl-e-Sunnat Centre, to strongly condemn the recent terrorist attack that took place in Pahalgam. The officials of the institution, members of the movement, teachers of Jamia Nadwa-e-Islam, and students actively participated in the protest.
During the protest, an effigy representing the terrorists was also burnt. The participants earnestly appealed for maintaining peace and order in the country, safeguarding human lives, and ending terrorism.
In the Jumu’ah sermon, Mufti Muzaffar Hussain Sayyidi Misbahi strongly condemned the attack and urged the Government of India to immediately bring the perpetrators to justice and ensure they receive strict punishment, so that no one dares to commit such heinous acts in the future.
He further stated that terrorism does not belong to any religion. Such actions are aimed only at harming the peace, brotherhood, and humanity of the nation. Mufti Sahib emphasised that attacks carried out in the name of Islam tarnish the image of Islam and Muslims. Islam does not permit the killing of any innocent life. True Islamic teachings are reflected in the conduct of Muslims. He mentioned that the attitude shown by Kashmiri Muslims during this difficult time is a true reflection of Islam. He stressed that an impartial investigation should be conducted against those involved in such activities, and the real culprits must be punished appropriately.
Other scholars and students who attended the gathering also showed unity, prayed for the martyrs, and made supplications for peace and security in the country.
